This is yet another unusual slot from Thunderkick. They certainly are a breath of fresh air in an industry of what are a lot of very similar slot machines. This one has the feel of a Wii game, and is somewhat childish/cutesy in nature.
That said, there’s a huge amount of attention to detail when it comes to the graphics and animation of this slot. The spin animations are great, as are various game mechanics, and on top of that, there’s a day/night cycle going on in the background.
All paylines are active in both directions, thereby doubling your chances of a winning combination. As with other games, Toki Time has an unusual number of paylines – 11 (compared to most other slots that use a round multiple of 5), though, the number of reels is fairly standard at 5. The theoretical return to player is stated as being 97.1%
The expanded wild covers an entire ‘reel’ and can only appear on reels 2 or 4. If it completes a win, it’s held in position, and you’ll get a free respin. This will be repeated for as long as winning combinations are made.
Kind of fun, though we turned off the sound after a while as it’s not our cup of tea (though it will undoubtably appeal to some). The game plays nicely and we ended up overall from where we started.
