Nights Reels – SEGA Video Slot Review

Note: Since writing this review – SEGA’s online casino has closed.

Nights Reels is one of four, brand new SEGA video slots to hit the online gambling scene and one that I’m sure anyone would enjoy playing!

Just as other SEGA video slots, Nights Reels offers the player outstanding sound, graphics and animation which can all be enjoyed for as little as a penny per line up to $5 per line with a max coin bet of 10 on this 20-line, 5-reel video slot.

The wild nights symbol of the game substitutes for all other symbols with the exception of the scatter symbol to complete a winning combination for you.

There are nine regular game play symbols in this game. Four of the symbols only require a combination of two on a payline to be awarded a win. Each winning combination is accompanied with some wonderful animation. The highest paying regular play symbol will award you 5,000 coins if five appear on a payline.

The scatter symbol of the game is a clock tower. Three or more towers appearing anywhere on your screen will award you ten free spins. A mystery scatter is chosen randomly from one of the regular play symbols during free spin play. This scatter adopts scatter-type behaviour and will pay according to the pay table of the clock tower scatter win. More free spins can be won during feature infinitely.

My Play

Beginning with $50 I played this slot at a penny per line on all twenty lines and max coins allowable making my spin bet $2.00. Within a total of 41 spins the wild symbol completed a total of nine winning combinations for me. The scatter symbol did not appear at all to trigger the free spin play feature.

Decreasing my bet to five coins per line, I continued play at $1.00 per spin for 48 more spins. Within those spins, the wild completed a total of eight winning combinations for me and the free spin feature; again; was not triggered. I ended play having lost it all.

Overall

Just as graphic and animated as other SEGA video slots, this slot was as pleasurable to play but I found it to not be as exciting as the others. Nights Reels; in my opinion; is the “toned-down” SEGA slot, not hitting as often as the others and not having the variety of features as them either. Regardless, I enjoyed playing this slot and would definitely give it another try and recommend that others try it as well!
