The Lost Island slot from Net Entertainment, surprisingly (#sarcasm) has a tropical island theme. As always with Net Entertainment slots, the graphics are well done, though unlike some of their flagship slots, this one doesn’t have any fancy animations/3D characters. It’s a pretty standard video slot, with 5 reels and 20 paylines, but it does have it’s own twist that helps it stand out from the crowd.
In the game, a lotus symbol acts as the wild symbol, but it has an unusual game mechanic. For every wild symbol that appears in the playing area, regardless of whether or not you complete a winning combination with it, a multiplier will be applied, so for example, if you get three wild symbols showing up, you’ll have a x3 multiplier applied to any wins from that spin, up to a maximum of x5.
The free spins feature is triggered by three or more scatter symbols appearing anywhere within the playing area. Free spins can be retriggered. During the feature, the central symbol on the playing area (i.e. the middle symbol of reel three) is permanently wild. Additional wilds may appear as a single, or stacked in a 2 or a 3 symbol group on the reel in question.
The increasing multiplier from having several wilds appear is a very handy way to reach big wins. Not only are your chances of completing wins improved by multiple wild symbols, but add in the multiplier and you can get very lucky indeed! Free spins take longer to hit – we got a decent sized win when it finally did activate, but for us it wasn’t really in the same league as a good appearance from the wild symbols in the regular game.
