Fixer-Upper Slot

Get out your toolbox, it’s time to make some repairs playing Rival software’s newest video i-slot … Fixer-Upper!

You’ll really enjoy playing this new 20 line, 5-reel slot for as little as a penny per line up to ten cents per line with a ten coin max bet per line. I think you’ll also enjoy the animation of each symbol when they appear in a winning combination. Each of the eight regular tool symbols of the game has it’s own animation … the drill, drills … the saw, cuts … and the pain brush not only paints but also appears when any winning combination appears, adding various colors to those combinations for you. The highest paying symbol regualr play; in my opinion; has the best animation. When two or more handyman symbols appear in a winning combination, the cartoon-like character will appear in full view on your screen and entertain you with different skills each time!

Detailed review:

The scatter symbol of the game is the handywoman. When three or more appear anywhere on your screen you will be awarded fifteen free spins. Get four, and you’ll receive thirty free spins, and five appearing will give you fifty free spins!Get out your toolbox, it’s time to make some repairs playing Rival software’s newest video i-slot … Fixer-Upper!

The ladder symbol is wild in the game and substitutes for all other symbols with the exception of the scatter and bonus symbols. During free spin play, the wild symbol is expanded the length of the reel it lands within. One exdpanded wild; during free spin play; will triple your win, two will pay you four times your win and three will award you with five times the amount for all winning combinations!

My favorite part of the game is the Bonus Play. Your main objective of the bonus is to fix various things on your house so it’s ready for sale. There ar three tasks to complete …. plumbing, painting, and getting rid of some pesky groundhogs in your yard.
Plumbing: The first task is triggered when three or more pipe wrenches appear on your screen. Your task is to repair some rusty pipe sections with new pipe. This is done by dragging the old pipe section out with your wrench & clicking to drag the new piece in. Coins are awarded with each section of pipe replaced. After you complete this task, the wrenches no longer trigger the bonus round. You now move onto the paint cans being the trigger.
Painting: Three paint cans trigger the second task of painting for you. Begin by choosing a paint color then, using your mouse, paint a wall. Paint splats on the floor award you random coin values. After you complete this task, the paint cans no longer trigger the bonus round. You now move onto the shovel as being the trigger.
Evicting The Groundhogs: The final task of evicting those pesky groundhogs is triggered when three shovels appear on your screen. As the handyman, you choose one of three objects in which to whack those critters when they pop their heads out of their holes. Each successful whack awards you a win.

After the final task is complete, a short video of “success” is played and your house is sold! At this point, the bonus round goes back to being; initially; triggered when three wrenches appear.

My Play
Starting with $50 and a total bet of $1.00 per spin, I began play at a penny per line playing five coins per line. In a total of 145 spins, the wild symbol completed a total of 21 winning combinations for me, the free spin feaure was not triggered but I did get to play three bonus rounds and completed the overall interactiveness of the game in selling my house! My wins from the bonus rounds were $29, $40, & $37 respectively. I ended play being $18 ahead.

Overall
I really, really enjoyed this slot. I liked the animations, the graphics, and the fantastic wins of the bonus play considering I was only playing for $1.00 per spin. Although I didn’t trigger free spin play at all, I was pleased with some “larger” wins during regular play that I had gotten in excess of $4.00 per win. I wish I would’ve triggered free spin play as I think it’s a fantastic feature and one that would reap outstanding rewards given that the wild symbol is expanded.

Most definately a fun slot to play and one I will definately play again!

Kudos on this one, Rival!
