Platinum Play is the flagship casino for the Fortune Lounge Group. You may have read about a hiccup back in 2007, where the Fortune Lounge group were blacklisted due to a specific issue with a bonus – but that was a temporary hitch, and they’ve been back on good form for many years now (we're in 2013 at the time of writing!) and so we don't think that that's anything to worry about.
Main Licence:- Malta
Independent Certifications:- eCOGRA
The casino is licenced in Malta, by the Lotteries and Gaming Authority there, and is considered one of the ‘better’ online casino regulators. Additional security comes in the form of eCOGRA certification, who certify both the payout percentages claimed by Platinum Play, but also the fairness of the random number generator used to power the games.
Finally, the casino is operated by the Fortune Lounge group – one of the oldest casino groups out there – to have lasted this long in such a competative industry, they must be doing something right, eh?
Main Software:- Microgaming
Platinum Play has used Microgaming to provide their casino software for a long time now. Microgaming are one of, if not the leading online casino software manufacturers.
Platinum Play is purely an online casino – there’s no Poker or Bingo rooms, but they do have Live Dealers and a Mobile Casino for you to play at.
There are an extremely wide range of options here to deposit, including many local eWallet companies, however, be aware, not all of these methods can be used to withdraw your finds from the casino! Thankfully there’s a detailed list of all the methods available and whether or not they can be used for withdrawals.
Whilst currencies are listed for each method, sadly processing times are not. There’s a standard 24 hours processing time (i.e. the time period within which the casino processes the payment), then as usual, you’ll have to wait for your chosen payment methods to clear. There’s no processing of withdrawals from Friday till Monday morning so make sure you plan ahead!
Customer Support Team Availability:- 24/7
The customer support team is available via the widest array of contact details that we’ve seen in a while. These include: live chat, email and freephone numbers as well as skype, whatsapp, BBM (Blackberry messenger) and iMessage!
English language support is available 24/7, and at the time of writing, support is available in French, German, Spanish, Italian, Greek, Portuguese, Dutch and Japanese, however, these are limited hours – check the contact page for more information on times.
At first glance, Platinum Play doesn’t have a VIP scheme, however that’s because the VIP scheme is run across the Fortune Lounge group of casinos instead (Fortune Lounge is the name of the company that runs Platinum Play). To find out more, click on the Fortune Lounge logo at the bottom of their homepage.
Entry to the scheme is by invitation only, and offers improved bonuses and promotions, a dedicated ‘casino host’ and invites to events and hospitality on them.
A good, solid casino, though somewhat limited compared to the larger casinos out there such as 32Red or 888 in that they don’t have Poker or Bingo rooms, but if you’re just there for the casino games, that’s not going to bother you too much in any case. It’s got a good pedigree, being part of the Fortune Lounge group and being licenced in Malta combined with eCOGRA certification, you can be pretty confident depositing your money there.
