    Overview

Omni Casino has been around for quite a long time – since 1997, but for some reason they haven’t grown as large as some of the other casinos that have been around that long. With the recent redesign and update of the site, we’ve taken another look at it.

    Licencing and Security

Omni is licenced in Curacao, which puts them outside of the UK’s whitelist, but this does not automatically make them a dodgy casino. The software in use is from Playtech (see more below), the random number generator of which has been independently tested by Technical Systems Testing, so you can be confident that the games are fair.

Not only that, Omni also publish their payout percentages by game on a monthly basis which are available to view within their ‘About us’ page. If you actually go through these, at the time of writing the average payout is slightly higher than their quoted 97% (we’re guessing that this figure is the long term average), at 98.15%.

    Software

We’ve reviewed quite a few Playtech casinos, and it’s a great software platform. The table games selection is not as extensive as Microgaming, but the slots are a lot more varied, and they are constantly releasing big name franchises, rather than just a bog standard 5 reel slot. Omni uses Playtech for both their download and instant play versions of their casino.

    Banking

As you would expect, Omni have a range of payment options with which you can deposit funds. These include mainstream methods such as Debit/Credit cards, NETeller and Moneybookers, as well as several smaller methods. These are all nicely set out in a table, along with processing times, but unfortunately they don’t seem to have included the same table for withdrawals.

There also doesn’t appear to be much information on the withdrawal processing times in the cashier, but you can get it out of them if you talk to support. If you read the help within the cashier, it says that there’s a 4 business day pending period on withdrawals, though discussions with the affiliate manager explain that this is a maximum to account for newer members of the casino – he’s also reported in a reputable industry forum that the actual figures for 95% of the payouts are actually processed within 24-48 hours, though we’ve not tested this.

    Support

As you would expect, support is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week via all the usual options; free-phone numbers, fax, e-mail and live chat, though when we were writing this review, the system was down for upgrades.

Testing out the support, Omni were pretty good; I always prefer to pick up the phone – I find that it’s easier to sort things out plus you can ask your follow up questions then and there without having to resort to e-mail tennis. The support team answered the phone within a couple of rings and were very helpful with my questions.

    Summary

With many casinos sharing the same software these days, the differentiator comes in through the rest of the ‘package’ that they offer to their customers. When we spoke with their support team, they seemed to be helpful and if you like bonuses, they have relatively low wagering requirements – currently x25 on the signup bonus and x15 on reload bonuses.
