WHY IS THIS SITE DORMANT

i dont know if it is just me but this site seems to not have much traffic...even the mods dont show up every day...you could actually not come here in a week and not miss any new posts because there is no one here...the mod writes something every 3 days maybe..

i would like to know what can be done to make this site #1 on the net...the #1 forum

i have been here since day one and not much has changed...

how can we go about getting more members..do we need advertise more or offer more contest or get more info that everyone needs in the gambling community like reviews of more casinos. blogs. more free spin casinos..

like i said i have been here since day one and i just want to see this forum strive

I noticed the same thing CURTSONLYLOVE,, and I agree. I am also a "founding member",,, I don't know if it's because of the recent family loss or what but it seems that all of a sudden everything screeched to a halt! There are no contests posted at all., and I am awaiting a contest win to be creditted. (I actually had my adapter cord blow out yesterday and I had to borrow some $$ from my mom because the darn thing cost $90 to replace! but I didn't want to miss anything!!)
I did notice that Vicki thanked your post, but I think she needs to know that we are still waiting to hear if this is still an active forum! I myself sent a PM but I did not get a response.
I hope everything is OK Vicki., please let us know.

Well CURTS .... I would LOVE to see this forum have more traffic as you would but it does take time to get a forum to "that level" when you first start out .... and although oggs.com & casinotabs.com are not new on the net, the forum is.

We only have ONE Mod (Slot Princess) and she & I are both here daily. (although the past week was the exception to the rule with her being here and not me as I had a death in the family and was gone for a week).

We've posted some threads to encourage conversation, and we get no replies. We check our stats and see that we have daily visitors, but not all are members ..... many guests travel through here and glean from the posts that we do make.

Our gambling news IS posted ON THE MAIN WEBSITES. Our slot reviews are posted here and on the MAIN WEBSITES along with the casino reviews as well. (more slot reviews are on the main sites than here on the forum). We try to encourage our members to go to our main sites and benefit from all of the additional information we have here.

We post promos as we find them to come available on those sites we are affiliated with. And, along those lines you must also understand that I personally do not own this forum, or the main sites. Both Slot Princess & I work within the scope of our job duties as noted by the sites owner, who decides how all is to be operated, who we are affiliated with, etc.

We do post on all other forums, but don't believe in "slamming" them weekly with our promos as we respect the fact that they do allow us to post there and don't want to take advantage of it .... it's just not good business practice in my opinion to do so.

We do have a PR person that does our blogging, advertising via other venues, etc.

All in all, it's my personal opinion; from what I've seen; that: all forums are "slow" (so to speak), members themselves should also take more initiative to muster up some conversation .... post their views on casinos, slots, their experiences, etc. & in general the gambling community is at a low peak for many be it finances or the fact that those of us in the USA are limited to where we play and even what slots we can now play with those casinos we can play at (microgaming for example; now deny USA players play on their new slots!)

I appreciate your post & please do give suggestions as to how we can improve and we'll certainly pass those suggestions along to the owner.

I'm working on new contests ..... again, I was gone for a week and catching up now with things ..... CONTESTS, SLOT REVIEWS, NEW CASINO REVIEWS, ETC. As for your contest win .... I DID acknowledge it in the "not credited post", and I did resend all information for you to be credited. (weekends rarely bring results with these things as you know)

Yes, this is an active forum ..... feel free to contribute as you've been!

AMEN to that! I know that my forum members do not participate and that really helps out alot to see what their into such as posting. It is hard to get some ppl to " chat " or let us know what their thinking. I think your doing a great job Vicki. Keep up the good work " )

I am not a frequent user or poster; I find it difficult to get round with so many heads for threads. I should like to see a more compact number of main headings, that open into the component subheads

also find it hard to chose where to post if I have something to say.. Maybe a heading could be set up under Discussions.. members can go there and get into longer discussions on subjects of general interest and appeal.

As I said before, I am not a frequent user or poster, because I find it difficult to get round with so many heads for threads. I think we are missing fun discussing gambling in a stimulating anf thought provoking way..

Curts tried to stimulate this discussion but we have not yet got it alight...So can we continue this discussion please; The only way to thank me is to develop this discussion as how to improve this site and make it more interesting to visit

I think oggs is a very good forum and especially the layout is very comprehensive and full of information. Oggs is one of my most favourite forums and it does take time for forums to grow.
