More Womb Win Action
So having named the future King ‘George’, and in the process sent the name rocketing up the ‘most popular name’ charts for 2013/14, we now prepare for the second name.
But before we get involved in this naming jiggery pokery, we must decide whether the baby will be a future him or her. Whether its lot will be to stagger out of nightclubs drunk a la Harry, or to flounce around on a horse a la Princess Anne, and the other attractive one knocking Mike Tindall. William was followed by Harry, whilst Kate was followed by Pippa (ah, good old Pippa). That’s a good enough pattern for us – we are backing a boy.
The naming of George suggests that Wills & Kate will get down and dirty with the people, but only so far. The name will be suitably royal, just in case the little chap gets a chance on the throne. Little surprise then that both Edward and Richard figure prominently in the betting markets (40 and 46 respectively).
Yet if the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge fancy a nod to the Scots post rejecting independence, James could be a popular punt. 16.5 is a short price but one worth looking at. Our choice for value however would be Alfred, available at 55. It ticks the royal box (he burnt cakes…) and more importantly, is a trendy name amongst the yummy mummies of Notting Hill and Pimlico. Like Wills did, get right on it.
