4 to watch

Aston Villa vs Sunderland:

Aston Villa’s 6-1 walloping of Sunderland last April, marked Paul Lambert’s men coming of age. And although they haven’t been flying too high this time around, they are yet to lose against a side in the bottom half of the table. Christian Benteke hit a hat-trick in that game, and is certainly due a goal having not scored since mid-September. Back the Villans to win big – we like the ‘Villa to win’ with a -2 handicap, available at 7.4 with our good friends at Betfair.

Everton vs Stoke City:

Roberto Martinez’s men may have got off to a flyer, with all their sexy, silky football, but they haven’t won in three now. Stoke by contrast started awfully, but are beginning to find some form with Steven N’Zonzi in particular playing some lovely stuff. Lay the Toffees at the criminally short 1.66.

West Ham United vs Fulham:

Two terrible sides, but at least West Ham are trying. Martin Jol has been on passive resistance for a few months now, and we think ‘West Ham win to nil’ on Betfair at 2.64 is the place to spend your money.

Chelsea vs Southampton:

Those who haven’t been surprised at just how poor Chelsea have been this season, are probably in the camp of people surprised at just how good Southampton have been. Nevertheless, all that running around will take its toll for Saints over the intensive next two months. We like Chelsea then, and fancy 4-1, or in Betfair language, ‘any unquoted’ at 7.4.
