4 to Watch

It is going to be a very busy week for Premier League managers; not only do they have to make six loan signings on Friday afternoon, but they also have a football match to win. Crazy demands. Not all will manage it though…

Norwich City vs Newcastle United

Hmmm…an embittered former manager up against his old club. Tick. Said old club in turmoil due to star player departing. Tick. Everything points to a home win, and that is exactly the time when we love to back an away victory. 3-1 Newcastle is a 17/1 shot with Paddy Power – not a great price but we’ll take it.

Southampton vs Arsenal

It feels like Southampton haven’t won since the days of Francis Benali, and an equal length of time since the league leaders got turned over by a mid-table outfit. So although it may be wet and wild down at St Mary’s, Arsenal 2014 have the players to deal with it. Back another away win at a more generous 19/20 with PP.

Liverpool vs Everton

It is staggering that these two Merseyside rivals have only been separated by a single place in the table over each of the past four seasons. So for all those bigging up Martinez – at least Moyes got closer to Liverpool (two places currently separate the sides.) Expect it to be equally tight in this one too – it couldn’t point to a draw more if it had one of those huge foam hands (you get the idea ed.) 7/1 with Ladbrokes for the 1-1 – get right on it.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester City

City at 2.06 on Betfair is a great price – even without Negredo.
