4 to Watch

After a week of cup action, the Premier League is back back back. Business as usual then, which means that Manchester United will probably be losing.

Hull City vs Chelsea

Hull’s season to date has been so impressive, that had Fergie been retiring this summer rather than last, Stevie Bruce may have had a shout of the United job. Scalps so far include victory at Newcastle, and a recent defeat of Liverpool. But Chelsea are made of firmer staff than either of those, and a narrow one goal victory, typically thanks to Eden Hazard, has been the pattern in their battles with the lower clubs thus far. 2-1 Chelsea with Hazard to score the first goal is a tasty 65 at Betfair.

Fulham vs Sunderland

Knackered old Fulham will for once be facing a team more knackered than them, with Sunderland having faced two tough cup ties in the past six days. Surely that will have an impact, and with Parker and Sidwell lapping all over the turf, take the Cottagers at 2.2.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Crystal Palace

The eager young managerial beaver, hosts the old cynic with the chewed baseball hat. Sherwood isn’t half as clever as he thinks he is; Pulis isn’t half as simple as he makes out. At 1.4, and with an impatient White Hart Lane crowd on their back following last week’s derby disappointment, Spurs are a certain lay.

Aston Villa vs Arsenal

Everything points to Arsenal. So we like the Villa. Home win at a huge 6.4
