4 to Watch

Burnley vs Swansea City

Having already wracked up more than half the points they will require to survive, it will be interesting to see how Burnley manage to incentivise themselves through the winter. There is certainly a sense that Sean Dyche knows he has taken this team as far as it can go, and is looking for an escape route. Swansea have been pretty useless so far, but that can’t last forever. Can it? A shock 2-1 away win is 12/1 with Ladbrokes, and why not indeed say we.

Crystal Palace vs Everton

David Unsworth wasn’t even under his wife’s thumb when old Roy Hodgson began his managerial career, and the shambles prevalent at Goodison right now seems ripe for wily Roy to exploit. Benteke is back, and with Unsworth already losing the trust of senior players, and without the Goodison roar this time, it could be a long afternoon. A 3-0 home win is 22/1 with Ladbrokes so get right on it.

Liverpool vs Southampton

No main Mane for Liverpool which has spelled problems in the past, and we see no reason why it won’t do again. A point for Saints would be terrific result so back the 0-0 at 14/1 with Ladbrokes.

Manchester United vs Newcastle United

Ah, the memories of the halcyon days of endless Mourinho-Benitez Champions League ‘sh*t on a stick’ fixtures. Who’d have thought the two old devils would still be around in 2017/18, once again serving up football of the heavens. 0-0. 11/1 with Ladbrokes.
