Chelsea vs West Bromwich Albion

Well Done Everyone!

Two clubs who are almost certainly slightly regretful of their behaviours in recent weeks. Chelsea’s absurd demand to win the league every season, has led them to cut Antonio Conte loose almost as soon as it became clear that this year’s state championship would be going to Qatar, not the CIS. With Conte showing no interest in quitting and losing out on a mighty pay-off, and even Abramovich scared to make the move that would involve sacking another manager, the club are drifting, and are now massively unlikely to make the top four, or beat Barcelona next week.

And as for those Boing Boing Baggies, they failed to heed one of the most elementary lessons in football – never sack Tony Pulis. Pulis simply doesn’t relegate you, whilst Alan Pardew has no such record. If it is true that West Brom fans were calling for Pulis’ head and that the board had little choice but to act, those fans will deserve their relegation by March, a fate even tougher to swallow given the two sides most likely to come up to replace them.

Onto tonight then, and perhaps there will be a brief Chelsea rally. It is certainly difficult to see West Brom getting anything, particularly with their main goalthreat playing under a cloud of racist abuse. 3-1 Chelsea pays 10/1 with our good friends at Paddy Power, and if you want to really showboat, have a bet on the Albion to take the lead.
