Champions League – Match Day 2

4 to watch

Manchester City vs Roma

Or Cole vs Lampard as the British media may have you believe. Serie A isn’t what it was. In fact, it isn’t even what it was a few years ago when you may recall Totti’s Roma showed up for an absolute shellacking at Old Trafford. We have a slight feeling for something similar tonight, and like Man City -3 at 13 with our good friends at Betfair.

Sporting CP vs Chelsea

After a sluggish start against Schalke last time out, Chelsea will be keen to deal with this one effectively, and thus raise hopes they can still win the group with a game or two to spare. Sporting shouldn’t offer much, and what they do offer will be well know to the Blue’s Portugese gaffer. You can get 3 on Betfair for Chelsea HT/FT and we fancy an early goal for a 1-0 win. So what are you waiting for? Get right on it!

Arsenal vs Galatasaray

No ground provides a greater contrast to the ‘Hell’ of Istanbul than the guacamole-munching hipsters who fill the Emirates these days. It could be nervy tonight but Wenger’s Arsenal haven’t qualified from every group stage since the days of Herbert Chapman without knowing how to handle these occasions. 2-0 Arsenal is a 9.2 shot.

Basle vs Liverpool

Cue hilarious ‘Basle Fawlty’ headlines if Rodgers’ boys make a mess of this one. And they might do to, although we suspect they will get a draw. 2-2 is 14.5.
