Darts Preview – 13 December 2012

Classic Match  2007 PDC Darts World Championship.  Thanks to clever branding from Ladbrokes, and clever wordplay from the late Sid Waddell, darts was already a well-established television entertainment by 2007. However, the 2007 World Championship Final between 13 times PDC Champion Phil Taylor, and 4x BDO lord Raymond van Berneveld lifted the arrows to the seraphic level of the great sporting showdowns. Taylor got off to a flyer, winning the first eight legs in rapid fashion. Barney only had a solitary dart at a double in this time, a missed bull for a 167 finish.
