4 Bets for the Premiership Weekend

13-15th August.

Hurrah – it’s back! Here are a few tips for the opening weekend just in case you didn’t cash in during the riots.

1) Fulham kicked off their 2011/12 campaign back on June 30th, and six games later are still without defeat, having conceded just one goal. Their opposition on Saturday, finished just behind them last year, but Villa have since lost three of their best players from the last campaign; Brad Friedel, Ashley Young and Stewart Downing. The claret n blue won just four times on the road last year and we think Fulham will open with a victory at 6/5 with Bet365.

2) Swansea will arrive at Manchester City on Monday evening as the first Welsh team to play in the Premier League. Punters should note that the Swans conceded just 42 goals in 46 games last year, so could regularly be value on the Asian handicaps where many expect them to receive a beating. Start the season by backing them to ‘win’ with a two goal start (20/21 with Bet365) or for the slightly less confident, three goals (4/11).

3) Arsenal have lost just once in the last fifteen years at St James Park and have a point to prove, so lay Newcastle at 4 on Betfair.

4) Our double for the weekend, is backing the big two. Consider doubling Chelsea up with Manchester United (8/15 with Bet365) who travel to West Brom, a side that have never won an opening day Premier League fixture.
