Double Bonus Video Poker is my favourite...well joint favourite with Deuces Wild...variant of Video Poker. the thing that I like about both "Double Bonus" and "Double Double Bonus" is the fact that 4 of a kind (referred to as a "4oak" is rewarded with a much higher reward than in standard games like Jacks Or Better Video Poker. Of course there is a trade off at the lower end, with 2 Pairs often paying the same as One Pair, or a Flush, Straight or the Full House downgraded slightly, but if you prefer Video Poker where you can get some big paydays, then this is one of the best. I'd recommend playing 4 or even 10-hand "power poker" versions of this game. It can be streaky, but it can also pay big more regularly than standard video poker variations.
The following online casinos all have the Double Bonus Video Poker game.
Review: Ruby Fortune (which no longer takes players from the US states of Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington or Wisonsin) is the excellent sister casino to Spin Palace, both very popular Microgaming casinos. One of the great selling points about Ruby is their willingness to flush withdrawals ahead of the pending period to ensure prompt processing. Nice to see their support is fast too and, using Microgaming software the casino now has auto-play and auto-hold features of course. With it's modest (read "average") bonus, it is a good choice for the newbie looking to play in safe hands with a vast array of games (including all the big name ones) and a tiered cashback program rewarding loyal players. Has good support on the forums from players too which is always a good sign of a decent online casino. The casino accepts the following banking options: Credit and Debit cards.
Review: Gaming Club was the original online casino and running on the excellent Microgaming software (also with a Japanese language option) is still a leader in the market today. Run by the Belle Rock Group, The Gaming Club is one of only a few online casinos who allow you to specify different withdrawal options every time you cash out, and they process cashouts 7 days a week - again quite unusual as most do Mon-Fri only. Over 300 games to suit all players from bonus slots to Blackjack, video poker to keno and stacks of options inbetween. Think of a game - it's probably here! The one area that let Gaming Club down IMO was the support response - not as quick as I'd like and not a great reply. Otherwise - a popular casino. The casino accepts the following banking options: Credit and Debit cards.
Review: Italian language site for the well-known InterCasino running on Cryptologic casino software. A large array of casino games, varying from Blackjack and Single Zero Roulette through various video poker games, slots and the popular keno game (it's like Bingo on steroids!). A good rewards program with monthly loyalty bonuses for every player. Intercasino has a good all-round reputation among players - probably in the Top 3 as I write - and has a reputation for solid support and prompt payment of cashins. The casino accepts the following banking options: Credit and Debit cards.
Review: Jackpot City casino carrys all the major card games, slots and video pokers from Microgaming in an intuitive interface and is now focused towards the UK market, although Europeans and USA players are accepted. All the big Progressive Jackpot games are here and it's probably no coincidence that Jackpot City Casino has a history of players winning the big jackpots. Part of Belle Rock Entertainment, support response could be improved but that said, you do get monthly bonus offers & Belle Rock do have a reputation for treating their high stakes players particularly well. Jackpot City also has casino software in Italiano, Francais, Deutsch and Espanol but seems very popular with US players in particular. You can also select a different cashout option each time you withdraw which is a nice touch. The casino accepts the following banking options: Credit and Debit cards.
Review: Phoenician casino used to be renowned for its excellent support whilst it was on the RTG platform, although it has since switched to the more popular Microgaming Viper software bringing with it "auto-play" and "auto-hold" ("expert mode") and a wider choice of games. Phoenician and it's sister casino, Nostalgia, were the first to introduce instant NETeller cashouts but these were removed from Phoenician following the switch from RTG. There are still a handful of Microgaming casinos that offer instant NETeller withdrawals - click here for more info. Phoenician is a popular online casino in the USA and the decision to review the software was an inspired decision. Note there is also a $4k weekly cashout limit until you become a VIP (an anti-fraud measure apparently). The casino accepts the following banking options: Credit and Debit cards.
Review: A new Microgaming online casino operated by the folks at the excellent (and in my opinion preferable) Roxy Palace. Uses the Microgaming Viper platform and consequently has a huge number of games and great user-friendly interface complete with autoplay and expert mode for strategy. Good range of banking options, though a 48 hour reverse withdrawal period means cashouts to NETeller can take 3 days which is too slow in my opinion. Otherwise, Splendido is a very safe and reputable casino with good monthly promotions. The casino accepts the following banking options: Credit and Debit cards.
Review: Japanese language site for the well-known InterCasino. Nice array of games, rewards program and average bonuses. The casino accepts the following banking options: Credit and Debit cards.
Review: Another member of the Mini NV Vegas online casinos group operating on the excellent newbie-friendly Microgaming platform with the excellent "autoplay" and video poker "auto-hold" features for the inexperienced strategist. Vegas7 has a huge selection of games from table games to slots and loads of banking options, although the 24 hour "reverse withdrawal" time applies to cashins which I'd like to see reduced. That said, Vegas7 casino has a good rep and I rarely, if ever, see a complaint about it at Casinomeister which is a very good indication that Vegas7 is doing things right. Their email support turned out to be reasonably fast although the answer to my question was a little ambiguous. I can't say that Vegas7 casino has any standout feature per-sé, but nonetheless it's a safe place to play and have some fun. The casino accepts the following banking options: Credit and Debit cards.
Review: German language site for the well-known, award-winning InterCasino. A large array of games, a VIP rewards program and reasonable bonuses as Cryptologic casinos go, but as a plus they are offered to all players monthly. The casino accepts the following banking options: Credit and Debit cards.
Review: What can you say about Intercasino that hasn't already been said before? They always seem to be winning awards and are generally very highly regarded in the player communities I am involved with. Their slots (well, all Cryptologic slots) used to be pretty average compared to Microgaming casinos but have improved substantially in recent months, and the Video Poker and table game opions are certainly right up there in terms of playability. Intercasino always seem to be the first to add new Cryptologic games and they use the prompt Ecash service to payout so no hanging around for payments. If you want a Cryptologic casino, I'd say this is undoubtedly the best one. The casino accepts the following banking options: Credit and Debit cards.
