Although Baccarat is largely believed to have eminated in France, it is believed to be an Italian game in origin. Many online casinos offer the game of Baccarat, named after the worst hand ("0") incidentally, and it takes a little getting to know ut is an entertaining game that requires some thought. While the cards 2 thru 9 are taken at face value, the 10s, Jacks, Queens and Kings are worth 0 points while an Ace is worth 1 point. When the total of the cards held is more than 10, the first digit is dropped: for example if you are dealt a 4 and an 8, which totals 12, the "1" is dropped, so you have "2". The highest Baccarat hand that can be held is "9", the worst is "0" (ie: when you hold a 6 and a 4, or 2 5's for example). A baccarat player bets on either the player or the banker and the most cards that either can hold is 3. Watch out for live dealer Baccarat games which are on their way through as I write.
The following online casinos all have the Baccarat game.
Review: UK version of this group Microgaming casino with big bonuses. Free money offers generally only allow for slots wagering but check for bonus term changes. Bonuses are credited within 24 hours automatically so if you prefer not to be tied in, email support asking for the bonus not to be credited. The casino has a very large choice of games & comes with the usual VIP loyalty cashback program so you earn on every wager you make - surprising how quickly it can add up! The casino accepts the following banking options: Credit and Debit cards.
Review: This is one of only two online casinos using RTG software that I play regularly, and only one of a handful of RTG's that I would recommend. iNetBet has a very good reputation for treating players fairly (unlike some other RTG's) and for fast payouts, often processed the same day within 2-12 hours of requesting a withdrawal. The new Real Series slots are among my favourite games & there is a good choice of video pokers and traditional casino games. iNetBet's mobile phone casino is pretty crap: just 3 games and is at best functional but doesn't compare to the Wild Jack Microgaming mobile casino. Note that the iNetBet PC online casino download is much smaller than Microgaming online casinos. The casino accepts the following banking options: Credit and Debit cards.
Review: What can you say about Intercasino that hasn't already been said before? They always seem to be winning awards and are generally very highly regarded in the player communities I am involved with. Their slots (well, all Cryptologic slots) used to be pretty average compared to Microgaming casinos but have improved substantially in recent months, and the Video Poker and table game opions are certainly right up there in terms of playability. Intercasino always seem to be the first to add new Cryptologic games and they use the prompt Ecash service to payout so no hanging around for payments. If you want a Cryptologic casino, I'd say this is undoubtedly the best one. The casino accepts the following banking options: Credit and Debit cards.
Review: Vegas Slot Casino is part of the "Mini NV" online casinos group operating on the excellent Microgaming casino software. Over 300 games are now available at Vegas Slot but despite the name, there are plenty of video poker and table games too, although as you would expect, the volume of slots is large! You'll find around 100 popular land-based casino games like European roulette (single zero roulette), Blackjack, Pontoon etc and stacks of different video poker and bonus poker games. The casino sometimes offers a free $15 no-deposit bonus to entice new players but restrictions apply when it comes to cashing it out. Banking methods are varied and comprehensive, support is generally pretty good and it's a safe casino to play. The casino accepts the following banking options: Credit and Debit cards.
Review: German language BelleRock group online casino running on the Microgaming software platform. Occassional free no-deposit bonuses awarded, regular promotions and tournaments. Jackpot City has built up a solid reputation as one of the better online casinos and offers over 300 games, including both download and Flash options, although the Flash casino is in English only. Also processes cashouts at weekends which is unusual. The casino accepts the following banking options: Credit and Debit cards.
Review: Well known group-based online casino aimed at the US market, previously known as Sands Of The Caribbean or Sands Casino. Nice range of games running on the very nice Cryptologic platform and thus with a smooth games interface. To be honest, I found it had a bit of a 20th century feel to it compared with other casinos, but it has a strong rep, reasonable selection of games (seems to lag behind a bit on slots) and pays promptly. Usually has strong signup bonuses with good wagering requirements and a small (by comparison) but loyal following because of their excellent and often innovative promotions. For example, competitions where for $20 they give you $500 of chips to play with - winner takes all. The casino accepts the following banking options: Credit and Debit cards.
Review: A new Microgaming online casino operated by the folks at the excellent (and in my opinion preferable) Roxy Palace. Uses the Microgaming Viper platform and consequently has a huge number of games and great user-friendly interface complete with autoplay and expert mode for strategy. Good range of banking options, though a 48 hour reverse withdrawal period means cashouts to NETeller can take 3 days which is too slow in my opinion. Otherwise, Splendido is a very safe and reputable casino with good monthly promotions. The casino accepts the following banking options: Credit and Debit cards.
Review: A game-packed Microgaming Viper casino from a group operating several online casinos. Also offers player support in Spanish, French, Italian and Greek. The casino group as a whole has a good reputation and signup bonuses are on offer including a free no deposit bonus. A loyalty cashback scheme and VIP reward programme is also featured - pretty much par for the course - and cashouts are generally processed next-day. A big array of table games, Pokers and Video Pokers, three types of Roulette, lots of progressive jackpot games and a big array of feature-packed slots. The casino accepts the following banking options: Credit and Debit cards.
Review: Ruby Fortune (which no longer takes players from the US states of Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington or Wisonsin) is the excellent sister casino to Spin Palace, both very popular Microgaming casinos. One of the great selling points about Ruby is their willingness to flush withdrawals ahead of the pending period to ensure prompt processing. Nice to see their support is fast too and, using Microgaming software the casino now has auto-play and auto-hold features of course. With it's modest (read "average") bonus, it is a good choice for the newbie looking to play in safe hands with a vast array of games (including all the big name ones) and a tiered cashback program rewarding loyal players. Has good support on the forums from players too which is always a good sign of a decent online casino. The casino accepts the following banking options: Credit and Debit cards.
Review: Casino Kingdom is a Microgaming casino forming part of the large Casino Rewards casino network. I used to play it a lot before it was bought by Casino Rewards - the cashout times following the move changed to 48 hours which is too long for me personally, though still ok for most people. From the UK it run's pretty fast - faster than a number of other online casinos I have tried. All the progressive jackpot games are here and you can't say that Casino Kingdom shirk on the banking options - what don't they take would be quicker to explain! Support moves pretty quick to be fair, but the long reverse time prior to your winnings being processed back to you is a pain in the arse, although the money arrives in 3 - 5 days generally. As with most online casinos I've played, they asked for documentation on my first serious withdrawal, although this was prior to the "takeover" by Casino Rewards so I can't vouch that it's still like that. Of course there is a loyalty program and some very good promotions too, so overall pretty good, but could do better on the cashout front. The casino accepts the following banking options: Credit and Debit cards.
